Video Editor / Motion Designer · Knowunity

Your parent video, re-cut. Parents first, in 26 seconds.

Hi, I'm Kishan. Before applying I re-cut your parent AI-tutor video from eltern.knowunity.de/ai-tutor, using only your own footage: the same student, the same Knowie, the same app screens. It runs 26 seconds instead of 2:09, has German captions, and comes with a 9:16 cut.

Unofficial spec work made from your public video (November 2026). It is not an official Knowunity video.

What I made for you

One story, two formats.

The student's problem, her request to Knowie, the plan building on screen, "20 minutes a day", and then the part parents care about: the weekly update. Sound on, or read it with the sound off.

Knowunity Pro für Eltern

Cut from your own footage and audio. The camera moves into the real app screens, Knowie's lines get their own caption style, and it closes on the parent dashboard and your own line from the page: individual plans and weekly progress updates.

Phone cut

Reframed shot by shot, not just cropped: the student, the plan and the dashboard each stay in frame.

What I'd change about the current video

Three changes, same footage.

1

Start with the line

The first 4.8 seconds show the student walking to her desk before anyone speaks. The re-cut opens on her first line: "Oh Mann, ich schreib in zwei Wochen 'ne Mathearbeit."

2

Lead with parents

The page is for parents, but the parent moment ("Mama, du fragst doch immer…" and the weekly update) only arrives at 1:53. I brought it into the first half-minute and ended on it.

3

Make the app readable

The app appears as small cards over busy footage, and there are no captions. The re-cut zooms into the real screens and adds large German captions, so it works muted and on a phone.

A format you can reuse

Brief, assets, review. Then repeat.

1

A one-page brief

Who it's for, the one thing it must show, length, ratios and language.

2

Raw assets

Raw footage, clean full-resolution screen recordings without overlays, Figma exports, Knowie's Rive files and your fonts.

3

Review by timestamp

You watch a live preview link and leave notes by timestamp. Two rounds, then final files.

4

A scene kit

Caption style, UI zoom moves, Knowie moments and the end card are built once as reusable scenes, so the next feature video starts from the system.

Quote

First project, then ongoing.

Why I'm applying

You have the material. I like building the format.

Your post says the raw material is there (footage, screen recordings, Figma files and a Rive library for Knowie) and what's missing is a polished, repeatable format. That's the part I enjoy most: I build videos in code from a kit of scenes, so a format becomes a system the next video starts from.

Live footage plus UI

The re-cut mixes your live footage, the real app screens and motion supers, which is exactly what your post asks for.

Rive is native to me

I make Rive files, state machines included, so I can reuse Knowie's library or add new reactions.

Pacing, type and sound

Word-timed captions, one idea per beat and soft interface sounds, with loudness-matched exports.

Straight answers

What you should know up front.

German

I don't speak German fluently. For this re-cut I worked from a transcript of your audio and timed every caption to it. For new scripts I'd want someone on your team to approve the German wording.

Time zone

I'm in India (UTC+5:30), which overlaps with Central European time from your morning to mid-afternoon. Turnarounds can land overnight for you.

Tools

My fastest tool is Remotion, with Adobe tools and Figma around it. If you need Premiere or After Effects project files, tell me and we'll agree the hand-off format first.

Numbers

I don't have view or conversion numbers for these films. They are concepts and haven't been published.
